Critical Mozilla Firefox Zero-Day Allows Code Execution
Mozilla has issued a critical security patch for a zero-day vulnerability that could allow attackers to remotely execute code on vulnerable Firefox installations. The bug is already being exploited in the wild, so it’s important to update your Firefox browser as soon as possible.
The vulnerability affects Firefox versions 119 and earlier. Mozilla released a patch for the issue on September 21, 2024. Users can update their Firefox browser by going to the Help menu and selecting “About Firefox.” The browser will check for updates and install them automatically.
If you’re unable to update your Firefox browser, you can also protect yourself by disabling JavaScript or using a web browser that is not affected by the vulnerability.
