Apple’s Wallet app is evolving beyond just credit cards and boarding passes. It’s now a digital hub for your state ID or driver’s license. This innovative feature, however, is currently limited to a select few states and territories.
As of today, you can add your digital ID to your Apple Wallet in these locations:
Arizona
California
Colorado
Georgia
Hawaii
Iowa
Maryland
New Mexico
Ohio
Puerto Rico
To add your ID:
1. Open the Wallet app: Tap the “+” button in the top right corner.
2. Select “Driver’s License or State ID”: Follow the on-screen instructions.
Requirements for Digital ID:
Device: iPhone 8 or later, or Apple Watch Series 4 or later.
