The Twitter account of Indian Prime Minister Modi’s personal website on September 3, Beijing time, was earlier hacked Thursday. A series of tweets posted by Modi ‘s personal website account narendramodi in, ask its fans to donate cryptocurrency to a relief fund. Those tweets were later taken down.

Twitter confirmed it compromised the account narendramodi in. The organization has said it is aware of this
Account operation and the steps taken to safeguard the integrity of the compromised account.

“We are currently reviewing this case. We have not identified any other accounts impacted by it at the moment.”
A spokesman for Twitter told me in an email message.

Modi’s office has yet to comment on the tweets posted by the account narendramodi in.
