Lucid Begins Deliveries of its Long-Awaited Gravity SUV
Lucid Motors has finally started delivering its much-anticipated Gravity SUV after months of anticipation and hype. This comes after the company began production just a few weeks ago at its Casa Grande, Arizona factory.
Deliveries for Employees and Early Supporters
On Monday, Lucid announced that they had begun delivering the electric SUV to employees, friends, and families. These were some of the first Gravity vehicles to roll off the production line, following an initial pre-production version that debuted in July.
Luxury EV with Impressive Range
Last month, Lucid launched its online order page for the Gravity, with a starting price of $94,900 and reaching up to $126,500 depending on the chosen options. Notably, the Gravity comes in only one trim level for now, the Grand Touring, which boasts an impressive EPA-estimated range of up to 450 miles.
Second Vehicle from Lucid Motors
The Gravity is the second production vehicle from Lucid Motors, following the successful launch of their luxury Air sedan in 2021.
Gravity with Integrated Tesla Charging Port
In an interesting development, the Lucid Gravity will include a built-in Tesla NACS charging port, making it the second non-Tesla vehicle to offer this dedicated hardware, following the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Lucid Gears Up for Gravity Production
Lucid began expanding its Arizona factory as early as January this year to accommodate Gravity production. The expansion included a new general assembly line, a larger powertrain facility, and several other new buildings.
