NASA Postpones Crew-8 Mission Return Due to Weather Conditions

NASA and SpaceX have once again postponed the return of the Crew-8 mission from the International Space Station (ISS) due to unfavorable weather conditions near the splashdown zones off the Florida coast. The new target for undocking is now NET 3:05 AM ET on October 18.

Mission managers continue to closely monitor weather conditions in the area, hoping for a window of opportunity for a safe and successful splashdown. This marks the second time the mission has been delayed due to weather-related concerns.

The Crew-8 mission, consisting of four astronauts from NASA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), has been aboard the ISS since November 2023. Their return to Earth was originally scheduled for October 12 but has been pushed back several times.

Stay tuned for updates as NASA and SpaceX continue to assess the weather situation and plan for the safe return of the Crew-8 astronauts.
