New Azure Specializations and Scholarships are being developed in collaboration with Coursera

There has been a substantial increase in technical skilling over the past year to meet the rapid increase in new tech employment. Indeed, according to the World Economic Forum, almost 150 million new tech jobs will be generated over the next five years.

Microsoft is committed to assisting learners who want to develop their capabilities and contribute to a more inclusive skills-based economy.

Microsoft and Coursera to offer three new Specializations in Azure: Azure Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals, and Data Fundamentals. Coursera is a leading learning website, and we’re excited to introduce Azure content to their 80 million students on demand.

New Azure skilling prospects
Learners who complete the Azure Fundamentals Specialization will have a foundational understanding of Azure cloud systems as well as the skills to assist in the development of cloud solutions. Azure general protection, network security, identification, governance, privacy, and enforcement capabilities, as well as pricing and service, will all be included. This course will assist students in gaining a strong understanding of Azure and preparing for the Microsoft AZ-900 test.

“Azure is a phenomenal value generation and work creation tool. We’re thrilled to be a part of this process, assisting people in acquiring the kinds of skills that will be in demand in the future.” —Jeff Maggioncalda, Coursera’s CEO

The AI Fundamentals and Data Fundamentals Specializations will be available on Coursera in May. Learners will be introduced to artificial intelligence (AI) subjects such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and conversational AI in AI Fundamentals. Data Fundamentals delves into the functions and responsibilities involved in storing, processing, managing, and analyzing data using Azure.
