The M3 smartphone with a massive battery capacity has been launched by the Poco company, produced by Xiaomi in 2018 – more than any other Xiaomi smartphone. As a subsidiary of Xiaomi, the M3 was the last product to come out of Poco – the business plans to become independent and create its own connectivity products.
Fresh Xiaomi Poco Available
A new Android smartphone, the M3, was released by Poco, originally produced by China’s Xiaomi. As other members of the Poco line, mobile devices are distinguished by the lowest price against the backdrop of analogs and the highest content of hardware in their price category.
The primary focus of the Poco M3 is on the architecture and the power supply, defined in this case by a 6000 mAh battery. This is a record number for Xiaomi – none of the company’s current smartphones can boast such a battery.
The Poco M3 stands out among all smartphones on the market in terms of style. First of all, a giant camera module separates the whole width of the rear panel from the overall mass, but there are only three modules themselves, and they are thin. The second distinction is the finish of the case back, which is made of matt plastic and has a feel that looks like leather. In this model, the maker has chosen to abandon glass or metal.
The Poco M3 is going to go on sale first in India although China, and it is not yet clear if it will go to Russian shops, even though this brand’s devices are available in Russian retail. The younger version of the smartphone received 64 GB of internal memory at a price of $149, and the older version received 128 GB at a price of $169. Sales will begin on the so-called Black Friday on November 27, 2020, and the smartphone will be available with a $ 20 discount on that day (RUB 1,500). The trim levels both have 4 GB of RAM.
No from MediaTek
In spite of its cheapness, the Poco M3 smartphone lacks the MediaTek cpu, although Xiaomi frequently uses it in its budget versions. He did not get Unisoc either – it runs on American Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662. Note that Xiaomi will abandon this firm’s chips in the near future.
The Snapdragon 662 is made using 11nm process technology in TSMC factories. At a frequency of up to 2 GHz, it has eight Kryo 260 cores and an integrated Adreno 618 video card. A Cat.13 LTE modem and Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) modules are included in the cpu, with 5 and 2.4 GHz support.
Wide Monitor, Battery Giant
The Poco M3 is fitted with a 6.53-inch screen, which makes it equivalent to the Russian BQ Magic L smartphone that appeared on November 24, 2020, but the other display specifications of the Poco M3 are greater than that.
The Poco M3 screen with the same diagonal, for example, has a smaller frame thickness, and its resolution, on the other hand, is greater than Full HD + or 2340×1080 pixels. With a power of 6000 mAh, the new smartphone’s battery has support for accelerated 18-watt charging via a modern USB-C port.
Cameras and other conditions
A group of four cameras is fitted with the Poco M3. The front module has a resolution of 8 megapixels and an aperture of f / 2.0, 48 megapixels and f / 1.79. are the main sensors of the main camera. A depth sensor and a macro camera, both 2MP and f / 2.4 aperture, are next to it.
The mobile does not have a fingerprint scanner either on the rear cover or under the screen – it is situated on the side end. Two SIM cards are supported by the Poco M3 and have a dedicated microSD drive slot. The mobile has an Android 10 OS with additional firmware for MIUI 12 out of the box.
Poco M3 supports VoLTE, has an FM tuner, an input for wired speakers, GPS and GLONASS receivers, and an extended shipping kit according to modern requirements – the customer can find a simple silicone bumper case in the box and what Apple took away from its system fans – a solid power supply unit. The measurements of the Poco M3 are 162x77x10 mm, weight – 198 g.
Freedom from brand
Representatives of Poco posted a message on the company’s official Twitter shortly after the M3 was shown, announcing its plan to become an independent producer. This means that the company’s line of products will be transformed – if Xiaomi and sometimes Redmi (another ” daughter ” of Xiaomi) developed externally adapted devices earlier, then they will now concentrate on devices of their own design.
In January 2020, before the global coronavirus pandemic, Poco went to this for a long time – the company’s wish for the executive director of freedom of the Indian divisions, Xiaomi Manu Kumar Jain (Manu Kumar Jain).
The brand’s second handset was the Poco X2, which had its debut in early February 2020. Unlike F1, the computer belongs to the middle class, namely the Redmi K30 4G, which has the same features and presentation. Redmi K30 4G was introduced in China in December 2019 at a price of 1,600 yuan and Poco X2 is expected to be roughly the same amount.
Poco has taken its smartphones to 35 countries throughout its lifetime. Great Britain, India, Spain and Italy are the primary businesses for the group. Over 6 million smartphones were sold by the company in total, of which 2.2 million dropped on the Pocophone F1 flagship.
