ICEA Unveils Top Winners of TruthTell Hackathon for WAVES Summit: Innovating the Fight Against Misinformation

Team Whooshing Liars (Bengaluru): Recognized for Nexus of Truth, an AI-powered tool capable of detecting deepfakes, fact-checking news articles, and flagging false content in real-time, including multilingual support and live-streaming alerts.
Team Bug Smashers (Delhi): Their Live Truth solution uses local Large Language Models (LLM) and fact-checking APIs to provide real-time credibility scores and incorporates community-driven validation via GPS-based SMS verification during live broadcasts.
Team Vortex Squad (Bengaluru): Their Real-Time Misinformation Detection and Fact-Checking System leverages AI to flag misinformation during live events, ensuring transparency and accuracy in real time.
